Presentation to Instructional Technology Student Association

Today I presented my current thoughts on instructional design to some of the Instructional Technology and Learning Sciences students at Utah State University. In this presentation, I share
  • some of my experiences as an instructional designer and a young faculty member
  • some perceived contextual constraints to being able to design effective instruction, particularly in higher education
  • my current ideas and research related to instructional design
  • advice for entering the world as a designer and a faculty member

Here is the recording of the presentation. (Thanks to the Instructional Technology Student Association inviting me to speak and for recording the presentation).
